I was thinking I would like to put some auxiliary lights on on my roof. I want to kinda keep them out of the way so I was thinking about mounting 4 lights under the factory roof rack bar. I'm not sure if anyone has done this before but I was thinking about PIAA 2100 Driving lights. Any thoughts?

Not sure how to hide the wires. I need to do some more research.

Many drill inside the rails into the slider part and run the wires as you described.

You might be able to create a really cool look by putting a metal sheet with cutouts for the lights. I'm just thinking... :smiley-scared002:

I'm going to measure how much clearance I have today after last nights snow melts.

You might want to check to see how hot they get. Don't want to bubble the paint up on your roof. ;)

Not Yet. I measured and there is only around 2.5 inches of clearance. I'm not to sure it's going to work. I did order the lights but there on back order. I'll let everyone know for sure when they come in. I ordered the PIAA 2100's.

Well, I cancelled my order. It's taking a little to long and I found cheaper lights. Once the money is returned to my account, I'm going to order 3 sets of mini driving lights from Northern Tool Company. I've read through the reviews and I feel there cheap enough to try. Only $11.99 for 2 lights. Oh and there less then 2" tall. I should have plenty of room. I Hope to finish this mod soon.
