well i started on my rock rails and this is it
this is what i started with

i did some cutting and welding. the front is at a 45 angle the rear is at a 90

this is were im at for now. more to come in the next week :cheerleader: im going to put them on the pinch seam with some runners going to the frame i think :smiley-laughing021: im open for ideas :thumbsup:

That is how my bumpers started out. They were originally a conveyor in a vegetable plant.

You have a good start with the D rings. If I could make a suggestion, you might want to redo the mounting and use the channel of the frame. A good pull will pull those nuts out of the cross member.

what you cant see is the tube goes into the frame and has bolts in it too :thumbsup:thats why i opened up the frame holes

Nice rails. I like how they are tucked up under there. I have to admit one of the reasons I wan't the slyders from DETOURS is so my wife can use it as a step to help her get in the Jeep.

These guys live near my son and have some really cool stuff. These steps fold out when the door is opened and close when it does. Spendy, but very cool. They are on my list of things to want for my wife. I was going to fab something run with air, but these are just that much better.

like mud mentioned, adding a step like I did, helps my little wifee get in, also helps to protect the door more, when you cave a door in, you will kick yourself.

mine being a trail rig I want to put them on just to be able to slide them on the trees if I have to instead of the body (which is already dented and beat anyhow)

ill look into that were i wheel we dont have many rocks more mud and trails. i was worred about the step taking the back of my leg off :D btw i like the way yours looks

that was my thought i didnt want them sticking out to far i dont like steps lol

looks good i think im going to cut out the rocker and weld in some steel so they are tucked up high like yours. nice "cart" sliders.

there welded to the pinch seam and to the frame i like them tucked up :thumbsup:

not yet the place that was close to me closed down (see springcreek ) but im thinking about going up to General Sam's Offroad Park this weekend

SOOOOOO when we gonna build ME a set of these... I like the way yours looked with the step and I think Id like to do that as well you know to kinda pivot off trees and rocks.
