a bolt welded to the body works great :thumbsup:

i would put a wing nut on that bolt easier to remove and put back on. dont have to pull out the socket set to do it

Many do something similar but above the wheelwell to keep the rear cargo area clear for other stuff like groceries or recovery gear, depending upon the main use of the XJ.

not so much but shes easy to get out of the seat just throw a stick and she'll go get it for you :D
