We've been in a three year drought here in CA. Well, they say it is not over, but it's over I say. Power is out, the place is turning into a swamp and nothing but rain for another week at least.

Next batch of posts will be running off the inverter in the XJ:driving:

Thanks 4.3LXJ. You keep you and your family safe. Move them to high ground or to the beach. Either will let you deal with this on a little less likely chance of being flooded.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Signs of the apocalypse

1. California will flood.
2. A republican will be elected to the senate from Massachusetts

What?!?!?

Oh crap, it is coming true!

Well, I can't post any pics of the big lake in the neighbors pasture. Chip reader has no power. It isn't raining right now, jsut blowing hard, bringing in the next storm. Lost the flue cap off the furnace flue and a few more shingles. Only one minor leak. Wipers on the truck went bonkers. Working on that now.

That's more damage that we got in hurricane Ike in 2008! :shocker:

Wel, what can I say? Got the wipers fixed so that is a plus. Power is out just about everywhere, just like last year. It will probably be days before we have power again.:sad0147:

Power came back on. I can resume my on line entertainment now. It has stopped raining and blowing. But tomorrow is another day.

Here is a pic from my front porch. My place is not too bad because I stir up the ground and keep it kind of fluffy. But you can see that is not the case with the neighbors pasture next door.

Higher ground wont work either after the fires we have a mud slide warning. High winds 70+ on the hill yesterday lost the canvas carport, so the jeep is now an outside rig untill the garage gets cleaned out. Chico was a mess yesterday also power lines down, roads closed, we ran the shop on a generator all day. Glad the winds are gone, gonna break out the pontoons for the jeep !! Say safe 43lxj !!

Sorry to hear about the XJ shelter. We are down almost next to Butte Creek. Not much drainage here on the flood plain. Fortunately the creek is not very high yet. The wind was a bit much though.

Oh well I always wanted the garage anyway lol As of this am we were over 10" since Sunday. I love the rain / snow but thats a bit much.I was teasing my son about starting to grow webs between his toes.Supposed to be clear Sat/ Sun more storms on Monday through the week. I just hope Lake Oroville is filling up, it was sad the last time I went by there.

Webs between your toes, that is what you do when you live in Western OR. I had them cut out when I moved south.:D

You should go see her and take a side trip on the dunes at North Bend, just across the bay. Best sand dunes on the west coast. All you need is a muffler and a flag. :driving:
