During a fishing trip fly in, the guide left the bait and lunch in the plane. a bear smelled it and went after it. This is what he did to the plane.

He radioed his friend to fly him in two tires, some sheet plastic and duct tape.

He flew the plane home

Duct tape, never leave home without it.

How'd he blow up the tires? Good lookin' repair job. Planes like that are surprizingly flimsey.

The duct tape was probably stronger than the cloth that was on the fuselage, however the main issue with what he did is that it could have very easily changed the center of gravity.

It's just like loading luggage and passengers. If you don't do the CG calculations and if you don't pay attention to the overall weight if you are lucky you'll never get it off the ground.

If you are unlucky you'll get it off the ground but only find out that the CG is all wrong when you are making your landing!
