I have heard of people switching the places of the two. Never seen it done though. It would require some longer wiring to both and a set of custom freon hoses.

If you want to ditch the mechanical fan and go with dual electric fans you can just use YJ brackets.

You can use a Ford Contour fan setup also, it fits perfectly.
