In a post the other day I found out something interesting. In my area I notice far more two wheel drive Jeep XJs than four wheel drive, however the other person noticed just the opposite in his area.

I thought this might make for an interesting poll. After voting please add where you see the XJs and do you see very many of them. After all it's been 9 years since the last XJ was made.

in utah everyone has a 4x4 you cannot get around to good in the snow in a 2wd so i would say 90 % are 4x4

Ahhh that makes perfect sense. Never thought of it. No snow here. Lifted vehicles are great for Houston when we get the occasional frog strangler!

Here in North East Tennessee I see way more 4x4 XJ's. I probably haven't seen more than 4 or 5 2wd's, and there are XJ's everywhere here. :patriot:

So it seems that local terain is the dicxtating factor. Winters are harsh and/or there are mountains then 4WD is more prevalent. In more tropical climes the 2WD version is more popular. Makes sense to me.

The 2WDs I see seem to be the newer, and they look very nice. The 4WD look like they been ridden longer, and put away wet several times.

Even the 4x4s I see tend to be stock and pretty clean. I guess living in a "metro" area they don't see any/much off road.

All the XJ's I've seen up north here in Maine are all 4x4's...So far I haven't come across a 2wd cherokee....At least since I got mine a few years back.....
