i just put on a set of 35's M/T baja claws on stock D30HP and a 8.25 rear with stock 3.55 gears , do you think i have to change gears if so please explain why

I would say yes. To return your MPG back to as close to stock as you can and running those gears with that big of a tire, you will (if you haven't noticed yet) have a loss of power trying to spin wheels that big.

Most people I know that run 35's have 4.56 or 4.88 gears.

You have also shifted the RPM out of the power band of the 4.0L engine. The lowest gear that is recommended with 35s is 4.10 and the highest numerical gear is 4.88.

I'm running 4.56 w/35s... it's a must. You'll run in low until around 60, then drive... it's nice & gentle on the drive shaft =-) still tons of torque and decent mileage.

im runnin 33 and 410 its a major increase in performance, trq, and gas mileage. than the 355 i had.
