Xj front “slider”

I ha e the Detours backbone winch plate and Ares Fabrication bumper wings to protect the header. I was wanting to make a slider to come down from the front of the winch by the fairlead down to front crossmember. I was thinking about using 1/4” material. Anyone done something like this or any tips? Only thing I can say is that 3/16" works just as well and saves a couple of pounds

Never done it but looks like a good idea. Better than a scoop up there to hold you up.
