light bar mount

Isn't someone on here making/selling light bar mounts? I've always despised light bars because they're blinding when you encounter someone running one at night. Well one came up for sale locally for a good price....

I think the saying is, "if you can't beat them, join 'em". Who's got the mounts? it's 50"

I think it was Detours that had them. I made my own. One thing on this is if you mount them above the plane of the roof, they whistle in the wind when the air crosses the fins on the back. I mounted mine so the top is level with the plane of the roof and it doesn't whistle.

cool, got pics of your mount by any chance?

good to know. Couldn't find Detours but did find some others. Was hoping to avoid a chinese knockoff but it is what it is.

I got this one cheap along with a 13" bar I mounted on the back. I took the floods out of the long bar since it was curved anyway and put them in the short one and use it for a back up light. Put the spots in the curved bar. The rear light is also mounted below the plane of the roof and does not whistle

Looks good. you rivet to the A pillar? seems to be a popular way to do it. guess I'll have to pick up a gun
