Some of you may know that I spent more than a few hours removing the old NP242J from my Jeep and then installing the new Atlas 2 speed transfer case this past weekend. Tuesday I didn't do sh*t to it.
Wednesday afternoon, after getting from info from Advance Adapters, I complete installing the cross member, 4x indicator sensor, and the speedo sensor. When I installed the cross member I noticed that even though I had the recommended 1" spacer there is about 1/16th of an inch space between the front of the Atlas and the cross member.
So now I have to mark, remove and notch the cross member. Should be easy to do with the cut off wheel but damnit I'm ready to be done!
Just wanted to add this information for any of you XJ owners that may be reading this in the future.
All in all the installation has been pretty smooth.
