I should preface this with my Original Plan when I bought my Jeep (I was 19 and poor-er than I am now) My whole idea, because mine is a daily driver and I drive a lot, was to work from the engine out and lift it when I buy a new car (within the next year) so I make this a playtoy and give myself entended periods of time to do work.

Done:
K&N FIPK
Screamin Demon Coil and wires
Electric Fan conversion (ditched the clutch fan and stock electric fan)
Banks Torque tube headers
Magnaflow Cat
Borla Cat back exhaust
Adjustable coil spacers (ACOS) up front
1 1/2 tallers HD leaf springs in the back

To Do (within the next year)
Hood Vents
Or-Fab Tubular Winch bumper
Winch (still not sure which brand)
Lift ( I have a 4 inch Teraflex standard lift kit that I got off of a buddy for free sitting in garage. I'm thinking about using some parts from it and more or less building a completely custom lift) I'm thinking I'd like to end up somewhere around 5-6 inchs and with trimming start with some 33's and hopefully move up

To Do (more than year from now)
Lockers - rear first then front later
Skid Plates
Rock Rails
More frame stiffening if needed
Rebuild the engine into a stroker
Maybe a new rear end

I wouldn't mind having my XJ as a play toy, but I love driving it everyday. I like sitting up high and having all the capabilities in bad weather, or just in case situations. I guess I need two XJs! If I can get the wife a TJ and build it then I'd have the best of both worlds! I could pick what I wanted to go to work in. Leave the station wagon (grocery getter) at home for the wife. :rotfl2:
