Hi all. I have replaced the Transmission mount and on a bumpy road the transfer case still knocks on the rear cross member. Any advice or solutions? I'm just afraid it will crack eventually?

Got some pics of this? Not quite getting what you mean. Usually cross member is well forward. Did you mix and match anything?

Aha, your problem is you probably have a 231 skid protector (I won't call it a plate) on a 242. The 242 hangs down a little lower than the 231.

My factory skid does the same thing on my NP242J

I solved the knocking problem of my transfer case. Just wedged a rubber door stopper in between the TC and the skid plate. Fastened it with zip ties [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170801/83a346b78a9ae53020b8948143b28b0c.jpg
