In the past episode I called in and talked about a strange noise I had coming from the rear of my jeep.
It turned out to be the rear sway bar was Contacting the wheel weight.
Well Josh wanted picture proof so here is a picture of the carnage.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170616/42936da059b8e342e4daf2709981fde3.jpg

So was it because of those weights or is there a bigger issue?

I'm not sure. it didn't do it before the new leaf springs. I pulled the sway off the next day.

I just read my post and realized I didn't fully explain the issue.
I picked up some 3 inch lift leaf springs and along with some daystar shackles gives me 4 inches of lift.
I had a 2 inch bastard pack before.
After the install I had a clank clank clank coming from the rear. I couldn't figure it out. so I took it to a shop. They find the problem in about 2 seconds. and beat the rear swaybar into submission.
I assumed the lift changed the angle of the swaybar and forced it to contact the wheel weights.
I believe the wheels came off a YJ they may have a different amount of back space. but I have been running them for about 5 years now.

I had the same issue recently after a modest lift on my XJ. Only it took me shearing off both rear links before I figured out what was going on and nearly cost me a tire. :)
Oh well, it needed to come off anyway and was on the to do list.

Rear sway bars are overrated anyways... lol... Glad it only rubbed the weights and not damaged the tire...
