ok as part of my "make it really usable off road " list is a selectable transfer
I have come across a 242J ratio 2.75 ? transfer case

Will this be a straight replacement for my quadtrac one,can anyone more informed than me answer this or is a case of pull em both out and measure them

yep will be doing the front drive shaft at the same time, nce I find a new flange

Thanks
in advance

What model and year Jeep do you have and what year NP242 is that from? Spline count is going to be the issue.

As long as the input spline count is correct, then it is a bolt in. You should get the shift lever assembly too so it will shift properly. You need the notches to line up properly. Front driveline will be an improvement too.
