I have been a lurker here for a long time under another old handle that I could not remember. I started in Cherokee forums when I bought my 92 XJ in 2010 but kinda got done with it and use it as a DD and have neglected it a bit. Recently it had a charging issue and upon repairing it I was reminded how much I enjoyed working on it and how much I love it. Ihave set about planning to tidy up all the little aggravating things about it bringing it back to its former glory. I love not having a payment and that gives me a little $ to fix it up. I have had jeeps on and off since the 80s two cj7s and two XJs. my current commuter is a 1992 with 192000 miles, mostly stock 2 dr 4.0 5 spd sport with ele windows and locks. Im the third and likely last proud owner. Plan is to fully restore it as my toy after I retire in two years . Ill be using the forums to fill in where my knowledge lacks as well as share what I have learned the hard way.
