So since i got my Xj, my drivers door sags slightly when I open it, making it kind of shut hard, and not smooth also.... I looked today and noticed that the bottom hinge pin is a little loose, causing the door to fall slightly when i open it.
I know, i know, replace the door pins, right? Wrong... I dont want to throw any more money at this thing than i need to.
So my question is, can i just remove the 3 torx bolts on the (door) side, and place a small 1/8" spacer or maybe some washers on those bolts, between the hinge and the door? I know it will still be loose, but will it matter if the door lines up and closes without me pulling upwards on it?
This is a google photo, and i believe its an upper hinge, but this is where im talking about. It gives you an idea.
