Hi ARXJ99, :welcome: to the :xjtalk: forum!

We would love to know more about you and your Jeep. How you found us, etc...

Be sure and check out our XJ TALK SHOW! (http://podcasts.xjtalk.com) It\'s about Cherokees! It\'s like a radio talk show, but from the Internet.

Check out our sister sites, http://www.WranglerTalk.com/ and http://www.di-dah-dit.com/

I have been listening to the JEep Talk Show for several months now and figured I might as well join in and see what info is available.
I am a proud husband and father of a beautiful 8 month old baby girl. I run a mail route and spend six hours a day in a RHD XJ. I own several Jeep's but most are not road worthy at the moment. I have a 94 RHD XJ, 99 XJ, and a 16 JKU Willys Wheeler.
My "spare" Jeeps are an 01 XJ with blown motor, 99 XJ wrecked front, and another RHD 98 XJ with fuel issues.
Hopefully this forum will help me get some more Jeeps going lol.

a RHD XJ! That's so weird and so cool.

I only found out about these when the drones at the auto parts store would ask if my XJ was left or right-hand drive. Did those Postal XJs get any other sort of custom treatment or special goodies?

I think this is the first time I have heard a member talk about an XJ as a mail delivery vehicle. Is it all painted and decaled up like the other USPS vehicles?

Thanks for listening and don't forget about the show's sister site http://JeepTalkForum.com Get more info behind the stories on the show.

Its kind of neat, anything that is not in the "correct" place is labeled with RHD. My 94 RHD XJ had the bearing in the fan go out and could not for the life of me find a replacement. When I can find replacements such as trackbars and drag links, they are about 3-5 times more expensive. Unfortunately the route wears these components out frequently.

It looks like a regular bone stock XJ. I have painted "US MAIL" on the side but it's pretty plain. I will post a pic.

So cool. I've never seen a Postie XJ before. It's kinda nice to have something like that - almost like a piece of history. That little Jeep probably worked pretty hard in its life. It deserves a nice home now. :)

Thanks for sharing that!

Well it's still putting in 100 miles a day 6 hours a day 6 days a week. It's on it's second transmission with 297,607 miles.

That was directed at Jon (prerunner1982), not our new member. :smiley-scared003:
