Hello,
I need to replace my drivers side brake line from the master cylinder to the point where the steel brake line meets the rubber hose right at that bracket that is in front of the rear tire. It was leaking bad from rust right at this point, most of the fluid leaked out. Fortunately, I was in the driveway when this happened.

I went to auto zone to get some new brake line and fittings but the guy says he needs to know what size fitting connects the brake line to the mastercylinder and to the rubber hose connection point at this bracket. The brake line itself is 3/16" double walled steel tubing.

Can anyone tell me what size fittings I need to make this repair?

I have the tube bender and flaring tool also, if necessary.

Any responses are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
RD

I cannot remember the actual size, and I have made several. What I do is take the fitting off and clip a piece of line with it and take it to the parts store. You have to replace the whole thing anyway
