Hey thanks for the add everyone. I've done a lot to my xj in the last year or so. Planning to do a 4.6 or 4.7 stroker and a regear in the near future. Here is my xj as of now.

Welcome!!! There, now thats out of the way! [emoji14]

Looks like you have been busy! What's your setup? Good stance and got a nice bit of clearance.

I have 6.5" lift on 33's with warn front and warrior rear bumpers, smitty 9.5 winch, livewires, Napier v2 flares, 62mm throttle body, intake, 2.5" cat back, 4 hole injectors, apn header, sye kit and some other stuff. Want to regear to 4.56 change the speedo gear and add some lockers and drop a stroker motor in it here soon. Can't find much info on people having the stroker on here?

One thing you have to bear in mind on strokers, if you have to pass smog inspection, the ECU doesn't like strokers. Guys here in CA can't get them to pass emissions.

PA has some type of emission testing but I'll take my chances. I'm looking at the golen 4.6 stroker. Makes some nice hp and torque.

Is $4k really even worth the upgrade?

190-275hp seems worth it to me?

If it's worth it to you then that's all that's really important.

Nice setup! How'd that tb, injectors, etc feel? I've got them on the shelf just need to clean and install once I get the rest of my parts.

I don't have any info on strokers but definitely want one!!! :D

From what I've read that thing is a total beast. 100% compatible, just drop it in, hook it up and go.

They all make a difference not a whole bunch but worth the money for the upgraded injectors header and throttle body.

That's what I'm thinking I'm looking for power and torque. I want to go with the golen boosted 4.6 just incase I feel the need to super or turbo it later. I'm just waiting to see is Russ pottinger can build me a bigger and better beast than whah they sell.

Thanks man! I've still got to get the header, downpipe, cat, and money for getting the head checked/rebuilt if needed. But I'm looking forward to it for sure. Been longing to do some engine work and want a few more hp to help with my 33s. Long term I want to go your route, turbo'd stroker. But I realize that'll be a while down the road.

I'm still running my stock cat it's completely punched through just because PA has inspection laws that force you to run cats. I did a lot of shopping around for the parts I bought and used. I bought the jeep for $3k with the lift, tires and rims and I have roughly $2500 in all the aftermarkets but I was very conservative and shopped around to find the best prices. I'd love to have a turbo or even a supercharged stroker. But for now I want to just get the stroker motor bought and put in. Also got to invest in some new gears and possibly a front locker. My jeep doesn't run like I want it to with 3.55 gears. Plan to toss some 4.56 in with the stoker.

I'm the same way. I'll research and search for the best price. I've got more time than money so I'm happy to save. I'd like to have 4.56s but I know I'm gonna swap axles at some point so I'm not sure it's worth putting the money in these. Now, if I find a used set of stock axles that are regeared for a decent price I'll probably do it but $600+ for gears will take some serious consideration being that it's still completely drivable with 3.55s, just not ideal.
