Got an 01 XJ Sport with 195k miles, runs and drives like a champ. Original plan was to just drive it during winter months in Chicago but more time i spend with it the more I want to work on it. So plan is to slowly restore it, nothing crazy. Already did inside of it and few mechanical things, now its outside to deal with rust. Just need to save $$$ slowly.

I hear ya on the rust. Wouldn't bother me if all states just quit salting roads entirely. I am really surprised the enviro nazis haven't made a stink about that, but maybe they aren't able to deal with snow in a Pruis

I had a Jeep like that once. The dang thing snowballed, and now its my big toy/hunting/ice fishing vehicle.

Rust! I hate the stuff! Dealing with it on mine now, and I have been for a while. Welcome to the site and let us know if you need help with the beat down of that oxidized crud!
