Hello all. I'm the owner of a '95 XJ 4x4 for the second time. I was the second owner and will be the 4th owner.

Explanation; I received a new XJ in 1995 as a company vehicle. I drove it for two years and put almost 100k miles on it, 99.9% highway miles.

When it was replaced in 1997, I bought it as my personal vehicle and ran it up to 150k miles, which was in 2002. Those were combined type miles, but very little off road.

I sold the rig to my mother in 2002. She passed on July 29th (no tears, she had 88 good years and a great life). Mom put 10k miles on it in the 13.5 years she drove it, 100% on pavement, short trips in town.

I'm getting it back as a 3rd vehicle to use weekends and on my property. It has some illnesses I'll need to address.

1. Cooling system - coolant looks like mud. I've put two radiators and a water pump on it while mom owned it. I'll start with flush and fresh coolant to see where that leaves me.....

2. Oil leak - not sure where, but looks like it may be valve cover gasket since oil appears to be almost everywhere. Very minor at this point, but I want to fix.

3. Shocks / suspension - I think it may have the original shocks on it. I put coil over springs on the rear shocks in 1998 or so. I may put a mild lift to get 235/75 tires under it. Not going too big.

4. Minor body stuff - rear lift door gas props are shot. All doors are STIFF. Comes with mostly sitting for 13 years. Probably needs new lube in every gearbox under it and on every door hinge & latch....

The jeep still looks great, has ice cold AC, and still drives "ok". Motor is strong, still has remarkable acceleration.

It will be a project to get it limbered up....
