Hi everyone this is my current project

When installing my lift, I'm sure some one ran into this problem but I broke the lower rear shock stud on the mount.

I bought a shock stud repair kit, I don't believe it will sit correctly even if drilling hole. The carriage style bolt head on opposite side of mount make it almost impossible to have it mount flush.

I went ahead and ordered the weld on Zone off-road high clearance shock mounts. Has anyone else done so and if you have, how'd they work for you? Do you have any advice? Pictures are always best, I went ahead and uploaded some of the jeep and broken shock stud http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160730/b5b3541545b65bcbff2865ce18f5d3b8.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160730/c9897277941a38f5d7368b5844aa760a.jpg

Looks like you can pound those studs out, instead of drilling them out. But I can understand the want to upgrade.

I thought the same thing, either I'm a girl or it needs a hell of a lot of heat. They won't budge

They have to be drilled out. I could have saved you some cash I think. Those fancy studs are stock C and K series Chevy pick up shock studs. But you are on the right track for sure
