Hey guys the old Jeep is all jacked up! So I changed my steering box got one from autozone. And in 2 days it was worse then my old one. So me and my dad tried adjusting it, it got a little better but was still worse then the old one. So I got one from advanced auto today put it in it feels way better than either of them. Before I took my old box out I changed the track bar to the one from iron rock off-road and the steering kit from them and the steering box spacer and I have a steering box brace.i had on the old box. I have 3.5 inch lift and 31 inch tires. They went in great. But now with the new steering box it feel good parked but when you drive down the road it drives straight but when you hit a bump of any size it trys to rip you off the road. Like jerks the wheel idk what is wrong. But should I have to adjust new steering box?

Steering stabilizer connected. Shouldn't need one, but just curious

Yes that is connected literally just put the steering kit in. When I watched everything when my dad turns the wheel only thing that moves play wise is the bushing in the unibody side of the track bar. Maybe an 1/8 of an inch each way.

I feel like if I didn't return my old one back in and adjusted the play out of it it would be great but no I had to get a new one turned my old one in as a core. This is my second gear box now. Idk whats going on.

I am not sure I do either. I assume you are getting rebuilds, not brand new?

Borgeson, AGR and PSC make them. Some not cheap, but they are new. I bought an AGR for my XJ

Yeah I'm not trying to spend 500 dollars on a steering box!

Are your tie rod and track bar parallel? Sounds a bit like bump steer. Had you driven it the same way before the new box? I'm just wondering if the new steering linkage or track bar might not be getting along with each other.
