Hey everyone! Im a long time sports car guy that got the Jeep bug when I picked up an 89 Grand Wagoneer a year ago. It's a basket case but it caused me to catch the bug big time. So much so, that i decided my oldest needs a Jeep, too. I found a nice 4.0 2wd in remarkably good shape for a steal and we'll be transforming it into what it was meant to be over the next couple years. Im sure ill get plenty of help lightening my wallet here just like on the roadracing forums.

Thanks guys! No, this will eventually be a lightly trail used commuter/go kart tow rig for my kid. The Lemons guys have fielded a XJ in the past, and as I recall, it did rather well. The idea of a turbo 5. 3 is floating around, though!

:welcome: to :xjtalk1: from Delaware!! Nothing wrong with catching the Jeep bug.. and trust me... many ways can be found to lighten the wallet when building an XJ...!!! You have plans to convert the 2wd over to 4wd, or keeping it 2wd??
