This radio isn't much bigger than your hand.
Says it comes in 3 varieties, 136-174Mhz, 220-260Mhz or 400-490Mhz.
The VHF version has 60 watts output while the UHF has 45 watts.
60w/45w out of something that size, I doubt it was last long in a longwinded rag chew.
Unfortunately this radio is channelized, no VFO and only computer programmable.
$135.00
I can only find the UHF version on Amazon, if I could find a VHF version and it was at a better price point I would consider getting one and setting it up specifically for APRS at 25 watts. But when you can get a better 2m radio from one of the big 3 for as much or less than this there's no contest. No maybe if it was $60-70...
I did find the Anytone AT-588 VHF that is a more typical mobile ham radio (VFO and what not) but it's priced at $159.00...again why when I can get a Yeasu, Kenwood, or ICOM for less?
If I needed a UHF only radio I would more likely go with the Baofeng mobile for $103
