So ever since my lift (im at 4.5" now) ive been getting some pretty heavy vibrations from about 30MPH up to about 60MPH. I installed the 1" transfer case drop, and that seemed to help for a while, but now they are back with a vengeance.
At around 30-60 again, it gets really bad, like to the point i thought maybe a wheel was loose, and it seems like it is getting worse, but it will completely smooth out if i let off the gas.
I have the hack n tap that i need to install, along with a front driveshaft off of a 2001 Xj, that i will hopefully have in later this week.
My question is this:
If it were in fact a driveline vibration, would it get worse over time? Or should i be looking at a different issue possibly?
And can i pull my rear driveshaft and use 4WD to take it for a spin to try to isolate the issue?
I have new u-joints in the rear, although one of the caps has a small crack in it doe to negligence while installing. And i did notice a small amount of play in the front axle u-joint, but im not convinced that thats the problem, since the whole jeep shakes, and it seems to be more from the mid/rear.
