I'm seeing on facebook that Fireman Ray died. It looks like it was his 29th marriage anniversary as well. This is so sad.

You're kidding! I can't believe it. I never got to meet him but hoped to wheel with him one day. Prayers going out for his family. Anyone know his son, the one he built his xj for?

Sent via messenger pigeon. I talk, he types.

yea this sucks.. I wheeled with Raymond and Zack several times. They loved Barnwell and would call when they came up. Never met a nicer guy. He also taught me a lot about wheeling. Our rigs (Zack's red then black XJ) were almost identical in build spec so we were always ribbing each other to go bigger and fix what was broken a little stronger.

I'd like to know what happened. But a good friend is gone no matter what went on. and not close enough with his family to call and ask. I may reach out to Zack once things settle down. Maybe we can still wheel together. I may try to find out about his service. I'll post what I learn. :bang: :bang: :bang:

Pardon me for this, but I think Ray would like it.

I was just going into Firemanray's account to get a bit of information. Like he became a member here in 2010 and was last on the site March of 2016.

I considered changing the title that displays under his avatar and notice he had set it to "Gone to the dark side!"

Funny Ray, funny!

I know there's Moderator Emeritus status, but maybe we should make an honorary status for Ray of some sort

It's not confirmed but on our local xj fb group one member says he was electrocuted and Zach was with him when it happened. [emoji17]

Would be nice if you are able to find out about any kind of memorial fund, or location flowers could be sent, or even a charity him/his family might like a donation to be made in his memory!!

I woke up thinking about Ray this morning. My thoughts kept returning to Ray, all during the day yesterday, more specifically his family. As you may be aware I'm a firm believer that we continue after death, and Ray is probably seeing and learning things that we can only vaguely imaging.

I think this bothers me so much because I am identifying with Ray and his family. What kind of distress would my family would be in if I were to pass away. There's not a lot we can ever to control our time here on Earth, eat more salads I guess and hope you don't get salmonella poisoning.

Maybe someday we'll understand why there is death, perhaps Ray now understands why this is and why it's okay.

Thoughts and prayers continue for the family...
