OK
What year did they switch from Cast Iron to Aluminum?
...like '90/'91 right?
Are 2000/2001 a good performance upgrade for a '93?
...or I could reuse my ported '89. But even ported, I'm not feeling performance gains.

What I'm thinking is, when I nab that 2000 intake, I could grab the head too.
Plus I'm going to get a performance exhaust manifold ~ 2.25"/2.5" all the way - no cat.

Just thinking out loud

The 2000 intake was much better, but the head was detuned for emissions. Don't ask me how that works, but GM did it too. I can't remember which year was the best head, but IIRC 93 - 94

I have a 2000 that I had to replace the head on. in doing research I found what I thought was that the 2000 was the bad head. The exhaust ports are slightly smaller leading it to overheat and crack. at least that was how I understood it. in fact I thought I had read of many guys swapping that 2000 head for a 1998 head because of that. in fact I call that 2000 head Sir Popsalot!

The '93 I picked up has the msd coil, wires, and distro cap.

I'm looking at a clean (I'll clean and tweak more) 2000 intake.
I have the neon injectors on my '89 that I'm gonna clean up and reuse
...and just ordered a Chrysler #4418850 fuel pressure regulator ~ bumps pressure 10 psi to 40 (I believe stock is like 31 or 32) $34 from RockAuto / should be a direct swap...

Looking (by mid summer) to pick up a long tube exhaust manifold, + 2.5" (no cat) all the way back exhaust.
And fall +/- upgrading the cam.

More air, more fuel, better atomization, + better spark should add a little seat of the pants increases... maybe
