$25 mag mount dual band came in, thought I'd see how it worked for ARPS

Did okay. Now I'm thinking about repairing an old Galaxy S II and bundle it with the TNC and a cheap baofeng radio. Put it all in a plastic case, perhaps run the GPS antenna outside as well, and have it all power on when I start up the Jeep.

I've got the same antenna.... magnet is pretty strong on that little thing.

I also thought about wiring up the radio and TNC to come on with the vehicle.... but have yet to make it that far.
