So, ive been racking my brain on tires and wheels for my Xj for the last like 2 months. I need something different/bigger/more aggressive (or 2 out of the 3, lol). My head hurts from looking and debating all day every day, so i am seeking some advice from you guys. My budget is around $500, so 4 new tires at $200/ea is out of the question.
I currently have 245/75/16s (2) MTRs, and (2) Mild ATs. I need something agressive, and also something that can handle snow if i choose to not run my (225/75/15) snow tires. Ive been pretty set on buying a set from XJ-Jake for the last month or so, they are 30x9.5x15 Maxxis Bighorns on TJ Canyon wheels, but my worry is that if i go with 30s, they may be too small with my 4" of lift.
So ive broken my options down to the following:
1. Buy Jakes wheels and tires and call it good.
2. Look for some 32s or 33s with wheels.
3. Order 2 Treadwright Guard Dogs (245/75/16) to match my other 2, and use the rest of the money for new parts - this would require me rounding up a new spare.
4. Find some 31x10.50s and order up some D-windows for $40/each
5. I also found some 32x9.5x15 Super Swampers on steel wheels with 3.75" BS, but those wont work so well in the winter, and although its not a daily rig, bias tires may not be a great idea. *Would also require me finding a spare as well.
Heres Jakes tires:
