I am still in the category of "wanna be" jeep owner.
Currently looking at a 98 Sport 2.5 TD.
Does anyone have strong thoughts on how they compare to other Jeep Diesels?

Diesels??? I wish.. Here in the states we were not offered a diesel.

Yep that's me at latitude 45.7 S

I presume with your 5.2L V8 you are not a fan of any diesel, or is it just the 2.5?

There was a 2.7 in top condition that sold recently in Canterbury. They do not appear very often.

Being new here I do not know the reference to "Barbie" Jeep.

im in Christchurch Andrew .....:D....not a fan of the 2.5 smokers but hey that's me ....what do ya plan to do with with it .......I have a tj so barbie jeep kinda sticks....have had a xj and a zj a waiting some loving ........

if ya gonna get a xj this the best place to learn plus check this one for more diesel info......bloody full of aussies but .....couple on here good buggers really
