Hi guys,
Bit of a name from the past. :) I received one of the 'we haven't seen you in a while' mails, so
thought I'd stick my head in again, say hi to the guys who remember me, hi to all the new members, and give you all an update. :) As I'm posting this, you'll probably have guessed I'm still listed among the living. :D
I wake up breathing every day, so pretty much anything after that is a bonus ! lol The rest isn't so good though. Over the past year, MS has NOT been kind, or even subtle. TBH, it's kicked the sh$t outta me. As some of the older members on here may remember I was forced to give up driving and sell my much loved '97 Cherokee in Jan 2015. Shortly after that, the MS kicked up at least 2 gears and done a proper job on me. My legs are 'dead weight' now and I've no feeling from the waist down. I've been bed bound since Jan '15, and due to the fatigue associated with MS, even transferring to the wheelchair leaves me so exhausted, I've no energy to sit in the damned thing ! All this isn't any big surprise, it was on the cards from I was diagnosed, I just chose to ignore it, as it really didn't suit to face it at that point. :) Don't get me wrong though, I'm NOT complaining, I've said before, there are a HELL of a lot of folk who have to deal with MUCH worse than I do on a daily basis, the same still applies. I'm not in any pain, I just can't move much. :) I will say, it hasn't been easy adjusting to the changes, but as I said at the start of this post, if I open my eyes in the morning, that's an excellent start, and anything after that is a bonus. :D I've got my partner, and a small tribe of animals (a dog & 7 cats) who are all healthy, so life is good. :D
Here's a reminder/first look at the XJ just before it was sold.
