8.25 limited slip issues

I Think my limited slip is out on my 96' 8.25 (it is a one wheeler peeler)

It is my daily driver and would love to have a selectable locker but, that my be cost prohibited right know.

I know the cheapest option is to rebuild the LS

A friend has a Dana 44, (XJ) I can get cheap but it is in Moab and I'm in Texas.

open for suggestions ?

First thing to do I think is confirm you have limited slip. Second is to see how many splines on your axle shafts. After we know that, we can make suggestions

I have confirmed that I do not have an LSD. Have not had a chance to pull the axles yet to determine spline count.

I will be in Moab in July to pick up a Dana 44 so, I am going to wait to see what is under the cover of that diff before I decide what to do.
