Need a switched 12 volt source?

This is from a 1998 Jeep Cherokee

I needed one this weekend and I thought I'd share where I found it.

Under dash, passenger side. Fuse panel kick plate removed.

Large brown wire. 25 amp fuse top closer to the brown wire is it's fuse.

I tied in my low power dash cam, but if you want to power something that draws more you could use the 12v signal from the brown wire to activate a relay, then run your line back to the battery or PDU.

Never knew the newer models had the fuse panel over there instead of up on the back of the firewall on the far left. Looks much easier to access!

Tony... Cable or Satellite TV option?

Im sure it's a mounting bolt or stand off between the top two relays but it looks like a connector for RG-59 TV/Cable Coax.

The kick panel bolts in there.
