So i charged up my AC last night, and everything was working just fine. I drove into work today (34 miles) and i noticed that my AC stopped working right as i pulled in, and my windows got all fogged up. I figured, meh, i have an AC leak still, no big deal........

Then 3 minutes of idling in the parking lot later, i noticed my hood smoking (thought maybe it was the rain), then it got worse and worse. I got out and popped the hood, and my coolant was all over the parking lot, and the coolant in my reservoir was boiling. Now, this coolant looks nasty, like super nasty, and i have no idea when it was flushed last if ever lol. Could coolant this gross just make it boil over? It never went above 210*...

I am still running my radiator cover that i had in for the winter since my heat never really worked all that well. Is 50* too hot to run that? I may take it out and refill my coolant and try to limp it home tonight.

Maybe its time to finally replace the radiator and flush the system.

50* is way to warm to need a cover. Take it off. Looking at the color of the fluid on the ground a good flush job is in order.

Thats kind of what i was hoping to hear. Ill have to pull that off and fill the coolant before i head home tonight, and then maybe flush the coolant this weekend.

Then i can work on this damn AC leak again. Ugh.

Well i removed the radiator cover, and added water just to get me home so i can flush it.

I ran it at idle for a half hour, and had good heat, the AC still worked, and it didnt puke out coolant anywhere.

This is where it sat once it warmed up.
