This is where I'm at I think I'll get a little more clearance when I do the full leaf packs.

After new lift, wheels and tires, it was 24" to the bottom of the tub. Not sure now that I have two new bumpers and the tires are a couple of years old.

well, i just ran out in the freezing cold to check mine (with the bright light of a cell phone screen lol) and with my setup:

between 5 and 6 inch lift and 33x10.5x15s I am sitting at 25 inches.

here is a pic of my setup..

Not to be a nay sayer but shouldn't we be measureing actual ground clearance IE from bottom of diff. to the ground ??

wouldn't that only give you the difference from whatever size tire you have.

Yep looks like bumpers, spare tire and time have taken their toll.

He has a good point. Many areas with mud get ruts in the roads and trails. If you are running short tires, or have large differentials on tall tires, you will be using the winch.

That's interesting. We both have the same ground to body clearance. I have a 4.5" lift and a couple of hundred pounds of bumpers, and you have a 6.5" lift and much lighter bumpers.

If you had 32" tires, you'd be up 1/2" Strange, things aren't adding up.

i supposedly got a 6.5 RC lift and I'm running 31's but they are pretty worn out :headshake:

Sorry I didn't understand that was why you were asking.

I don't know. What was the measurement prior to the lift? I would expect you to be 6.5" higher than what it was.

Oh and I neglected to mention. I'm actually running a 5.5" lift in the rear. I bought the AAL kit then later added RC full leaf packs. So I have the same 4.5" leaves and shackles that came with your 6.5" kit. I just have the leaves set to the top hole (5.5").

Do I see a winch on your rig?

exactly!! thats the reason you lift the vehicle, to allow you to get larger tires so you can improve ground clearance. Look the wrangler kit thats out now. It just moves the fenders up and allows the use of 40" tires on a stock suspension. True ground clearance is from the lowest point on the rig to the ground. Yes ride height sounds much better but is not true clearance.

I assumed he was asking about ride height since he asked this ? in anothe thread after installing his 6.5" lift.
