Winter Storm Jonas

Just wanted to check in with everyone and see how you are handling the storm. Had to take the wife to work at the Hospital this morning. Got about a foot with 2 to 3 foot drifts. Old blue handled it well. Left wifes Grand at home as it has all season radials.....glad i did. Got Wranglers on mine. Be safe out there. Winds are supposed to get high from what I've heard. Winter weather can be deadly!

Wow I remember getting snow like that but it's been a few years. Is it still snowing?

Yep supposed to keep snowing till sometime early sunday. 24 to 30 inches projected with winds at 10 to 20 with 30 mph gusts.

Does sound like fun for sure. We've only got about 8 inches on the ground right now. I only say fun because I don't have to shovel it!

There is an up side to everything! In all seriousness though be careful if you're out and about. I was watching the weather guy on the weather channel last night and he said it was cold in DC but nothing close to what is was in MN a week or so ago lol. We had -20 a week ago with wind blowing 20. -40 or something wind chills.

Always a fun time.... My XJ did pretty good in the snow driving home from work last night... haven't gotten a chance to take her out in the deeper snow today, since the Governor has enacted driving restrictions, that keep traffic clear of the roadways, unless you're an emergency vehicle, or snow plow vehicle... Will be heading out though once the restrictions are listed... My local Jeep club is on call for moving nurses, doctors and such to hospitals and home if needed.. so standing by for that call... which will allow me to go out and enjoy some powdery fun times!!

Yeah certainly got to get her to work... pretty important spot to make sure she's able to get there... especially with the I'm sure influx of folks after getting into accidents as well as slips and falls..

I came to OHIO from PA in 1978 with a 78 ford bronco and a new set of tire chains. I have only used the chains once(blizzard of 78). I have been waiting for the big snow here in Ohio so I can put the chains on one of the jeeps.
