Dome light staying on

my XJ dome light is staying on and wont go off. removed all door switches and headlamp switch. noticed some water on to and near the fuse box on the passenger side kick panel. everyone says check the gounds and i have done so. the only thing left is that fuse box. any ideas my fellow jeepsters.

Busted fuse wouldn't light it up.

All doors shut and dimmer switch all the way to the right. But i had everything unplugged and it was still lit up.

Better check all the door switches. One of them is probably worn out

I had problem with the driver's door switch on the 98. The 99 just plain had to be replaced. Seems to be the switch that gets used the most.

Does it have just one dome light? as power is continuous and the fixture is grounded to turn on, look for one that is not on and see if bulb fell out and ground wire is touching socket? I had that happen in a 1979 dodge van once... a long... just a few days ago!

Dimmer is all the way right? Try turn ccw, around to middle. As I remember correct, turning all right till click, it lits dome light
