Hello, first time posting/using this site, sorry if I don't respond to questions right away. Anyways, I have a 1991 Jeep Cherokee XJ LE with theRock Crawler Bumper with D-Rings and Winch Mount (Part Number: W/I565) I also have the rear version of this bumper. Now that I have wasted your time looking at the bumper online, I have to tell you it is somewhat irrelevant to my question... The only relevant information is that is has two D-rings per bumper(2 in front 2 in back) I have asked several friends but would love to get some new opinions. Is there any specific towing method? It feels very awkward towing/recovering a vehicle from one D-ring, my vehicle is at an angle and will want to move to the side the recovery strap is attached on. Is there anything I can buy or attach to make the strap in the center of the bumper rather than off to the side?

Thanks in advance,
Colton :xj-yellow:

A length of chain ... or an equaliser strap.

Chain is handy coz its adjustable/has other uses.

Just like with D-shackles tho ... make sure the gear has a load rating so you know its quality.

If you have a tree saver strap, sort of a short tow strap and enough clevis you can thread it through the loop on a tow/recovery strap and it will always self center
