Opinions on tires/sizes

Looking to get some opinions tires and sizes from you guys. I'm wanting to get some new tires that will be better in the snow than the mud terrains i currently have. Been thinking for the snow a 33x10.50 would be ideal (currently on 33x12.50s) but the streets are plowed really well here so maybe a 33x12.50 would be better so then i have the bigger contact patch all the time. There is usually only a half dozen times every season at the most where I drive in good snow on the roads, mostly it's just wet.

For the actual tire I'm thinking the new bfgoody KO2 all terrain. Supposed to be great all around and wear really well as well. And they actually make it in 33x10.5. Plus i think they look good ;)

The mud terrains still have good life on them so I'll keep them and use them for more serious wheeling or camping trips where i can fling some good mud.

I have the original BFG TA KO and I like them a lot. I have heard they are good in snow although having lived in FL and TX since I got them I haven't had the chance to test them out. The new KO2s are supposed to be even better.

The only person I know who has the new KO2s is Dan from the 4x4 Podcast. Pretty sure his wife has them on her Suburban. Seeing as he is in Alaska, he should be able to give you a nice snow review any day now...

Haha much nicer weather down there, though personally i love the snow. My favorite time of year. Thanks for the input! If Dan doesn't hop on soon i might just shoot him a pm. Alaska definitely gets a lot more snow than i do.

Ive got KO2s!! Love them! Seem to have more siping than pervious offerings. you wanna closeup of the tread? rocking them in 33s on the WK. only have a few thousand miles on them. Not too loud either. Got to test them in some light mud this week and couldn't even get a tire to spin! I wanted to throw some mud around! Grrrh!!

although I'm in Texas so no snow tests yet.....

Yeah i would love a close-up! Maybe next time you want to throw mud put it in 2 wheel drive ;) the more i think about it the more i am leaning towards them. Seem to be an excellent tire.

I'll shoot some later tonight. Wifes WK. all time 4x4 blah blah blah. I think I finally figured out how to disable it completely after messing with it and didn't have much time left to play. Great system - Quadra Drive II - unless you're towing, then its disabled. I sometimes pull a front tire scratch if I jump on it with a trailer on the hitch! lol Trying to keep from tearing up the clutches with my monkey business :smiley-scared003:

Eh, I didn't try TOO hard. Its' got a Hemi, prolly just need to open up air intake/exhaust and get a tuner and that puppy should throw shit everywhere!

They wanted me to schedule over a week in advance and it just guarantees a spot sometime that day. I'm going to take it in on a weekday on lunch or something. Should be able to fit it in monday or tuesday. [emoji14]

Dropped her off last night, will be picking her up in a few minutes. Unfortunately the snow came just a bit early. [emoji14] They are saying 9-11 inches across the valley yesterday, and another 1-4 today. I'll try and snap some pics, it's beautiful outside.

Plows do too good of a job around here, can't find any lots with snow still. :( I'll keep looking, but in the meantime i did find an ok snow pile to put my tire on in a parking spot. That's actually my buddy's sweet JK in the background.

We've had a light skiff of snow most every morning this week. The tires have been awesome. Much better the the bfg mts before. I haven't even had a need to put it in 4wd in the neighborhood where it doesn't get plowed right away! Always keeps solid traction and controled steering. They also do donuts and drift corners really well for those wondering... ;)

I've really been enjoying mine. Been awesome in the snow. We got 8 or 10 inches christmas day and they did great!
