Looking for some budget lift ideas looking to fit 33 10.50 tires already cut and folded the front and rear fenders to fit 31s. So post up ideas or pics of ideas or something you've done already.

I got a 2 inch lift by adding 1 leaf from a s10 and 2 inch spacers upfront.

My buddy found some 3 inch leafsprings on craigslist and used the coils off a thunderbird for a 3 inch lift.

I used V8 ZJ springs + spacers up front and built a bastard pack using the main leaf from my XJ spring pack and most of the leafs the rear of a 1995 Isuzu Rodeo.

I also removed the coil isolator, so I ended up with ~2.5'' in the front and back. I ended up cutting the Rodeo main leaf down with an angle grinder and played around with the rest until I got it to 2.5'' as well.

I'm not sure I never drove his. I would imagine it's stiffer the Thunderbird springs were about the same length but didn't compress as much.
I'll have to ask him.

I didn't notice much of a difference with mine. My wife says she can tell there was a big difference. sorta like the princess and the pea. she claims she can feel every little bump in the road. Blondes egh!!

Shoot I feel every little bump now with these wore out springs but she flexes good thinking bout the v6 tbird springs and a s10 or Dakota bastard pack and maybe drop the transfer case a 1/2 or 3/4 inch so the angles won't be as bad and wait til income tax and buy tires

Here's a write up on the T-Bird springs. I never heard of doing it till my friend ran across this.

Just a comment here on spring rates. If you see a coil that will fit and it is not longer or only a little longer and promises lift, such as the Ford F150 spring, it will be stiffer. In the case of the 150 spring, it has much heavier wire in it and will ride like a tank, or worse.

One other option, check Craigslist. Lots of good deals on suspension parts there. Got one in my shop belonging to another member of this forum that has a V8 ZJ kit in the front with S10 bastard pack. Sits like a 4.5" kit
