I got a great deal on a new windshield. Now I need to have it installed. What else do I need? What's a reasonable price for installation?

I guess it was about 7 to 10 years ago when I had mine replaced. I think I paid $130, and I drove to their place.

Would I need a new seal also or is everything reused?

That price I paid was for everything, windshield and installation. He used a type of windshield caulk

The pro's know usually if a new seal is needed and they also have some kind of special caulk they use. I leave installation to the pro's. It is not something done everyday by us "Rookies."

Had mine replaced, just recently.
Watching him do it, the right tools definitely make it a breeze. I got a new rubber garnish mould. If it's hard, replace it.
The windshield is glued in with sikaflex.

Working in my brothers body shop I removed quite a bit of glass.
To this day I have not successfully installed a piece of glass.. Leave it to the pros is my suggestion.

Had mine done by carter glass. They came to the parking lot at work. It was a lil over 200.
They came back out about a month later and fixed it when it started leaking. No questions asked. Great people to deal with.

Guy said I need a new seal. Guess I'll have to order 1. He wants 60 to install.

Better just let him do his thing. That is not much to install
