The problem is in my opinion is that this concept is very cool, based on a JK chassis. The final will undoubtedly have all independent suspension

Jeep has perfected the art of teasing...

It just looks so sexy though. Could one chop the backseat of an old wagoneer and get close? I'm thinking yes

This is exactly what I was thinking too..... I think if it is put out as it's shown in the concept w/ both solid axles, and even better with a Hemi under the hood or a decent diesel... Would be a nice rig!!

hmm.. IFS wouldn't bother me. As we've discussed in the IFS thread, for 95% of 4x4 drivers, IFS is just fine. I certainly wouldn't be taking that fine machine down or some some gnarly level 4 of a trail where the solid axle could shine.

There's just something nostalgic and awesome about the rig. Honestly it would still look cool if it was built on Renegade frame :flameon:

The reason I brought up the suspension thing is that those are probably 40" tires on there, and they make the rig look awesome and undoubtedly add to our desire to see it made - as is. Put on IFS, lower the rig and shrink the tires and it would still have some appeal, but not as much I think

just realized the chief 2-door was already a production vehicle... I'm really liking this idea more and more

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Jeep has any intention of actually making this concept, just one of the annual Easter Jeep Safari concepts they kick out.

I do like the Cherokee Chief concept but I REALLY like the Staff Car one.
