I want to buy this.
I was going to buy this for xmas for myself and enjoy installing it over xmas break. My neighbor and I were talking and he said these kinds of products tend to leak more because they are not original equipment?

What do you guys think.

Thanks

if you install them good you shouldn't have any leaks I have used them and no leaks and used original equipment and had leaks. it is like anything if it is made good and you install is right it will work and that one Ithink is alum. so lighter and get read of heat alittle.

They are cast alum. Less likely to leak because they won't warp and bend like the thin steel or plastic will when tightening down. I know several guys running the red one and have no problems.

Sounds like ti will be ok. I was gonna install a new seal as well. What is the torque speck for those valve cover nuts?
Thanks

The 4.2 Liter Jeep engine had a plastic valve cover and was known to leak. Replacing with an aftermarket valve cover was an upgrade to STOP the leaking.

I looked at those, saw the price tag and decided the factory metal one was fine for me. ;o)

Yep.. I cleaned my stock one up and sprayed some paint on it when I did my valve cover gasket and it looked good and worked fine.
