Sorry for yet another noob question, but I picked up a throttle body from a junk yard that came off a '96 xj and noticed that the connectors on the sensors are a bit different from the ones on my '99's sensors. Would it be safe to put the 99 sensors on the 96 throttle body? I can't find any visible difference between the two throttle bodies themselves.

First off, don't feel bad about asking any "noob" questions or anything... We all started somewhere and we are all willing to help out a fellow Jeeper anyway we can...

As far as the TB goes, you can swap your sensors over to that TB and it'll work just fine.. I did the same thing on my 98. IIRC any TB 91+ will work on the same 91+ engine.. as any before 91 was either under the Renix setup and a completely different bolt pattern and look and also the sensors...

Sweet. I'm going to try to swap for a 99 TB simply because I paid for sensors too and I'd like to have spares. But if that doesn't work out its good to know I have a backup option. Thanks!
