So I loosened distributor screw, turned engine on and moved it around till what i thought was good idle. Tightened down. Went out and started jeep on 3 occasions tonight and it did not die at stop signs. Will see how it does on a cold start in morning but thinking positive!!!

Well, started this morning. It did die once and apparently now when it is cold it runs awful!! More adjustments needed i think.....

well, finally starting to drive it everyday. the throttle plate was closing 100% of the way when idling. I believe that was my problem. I adjusted the set scre in the throttle body that made it so the throttle plate stayed just a crack open with the foot off the pedal. it SEEMS to be working. Have not had too much dying since. Only one time wihile the jeep was not in parked. other than that just a little bit while warming up and in park. Also, it is still leaking a little tranny fluid. does not seem to be coming from the pan though. it seems like it is dripping off the rear of the bell housing. it has been pouring all week here so I have not been able to crawl under and investigate. just happy to finally be getting the initial 500 miles under the belt of the rebuilt engine!!
