Not sure if new tires is post worthy but just in case...

BFG KM2 MT 33x12.5x15 Purchased 4 and put the spare on the rear, new one on the rack. Now I just need to remember to rotate them this time!

I was wondering how old your brand new tires were. They say to get new tires every 6 to 10 years. I know that the less popular sized tires can "Sit" on the shelf for periods of time before they are sold. My last BFG all terrain tires were 11 months old when I bought them.

The KM2's don't look as if they have much siping. Any experience driving those on rain or ice covered roads? I bought my XJ with a set of MT tires on it. Took it out once on a icy day, it happens up North here, and it was a scary situation.

Rain yes, ice/snow no. Rain is fine, but keep in mind this is my third set of tires since the lift 10 years ago. KM, KM2, and KM2 all mud terrain so I may have forgotten what good rain tires are. ;o)

I forgot to add, with a NP242 transfer case if I need more traction in the rain I just put it in full time four wheel drive.

My experience is that if it's hair raising on ice it's hair raising in the wet. But it's as with a lot of things, it all depends on how you adjust your driving in the wet or cold weather.

I agree that these tires are not the best on ice. However they are just fine in the wet, even that first rain of the season
