I noticed the other day that some of the molding screws were backing out. So I got out my screwdriver and started going around the cab to check all the screws. While looking around the driver side I noticed this empty space under the driver's seat. Is there supposed to be something here or is it for an optional part?8102

Ok, figured it was for some type of computer that might have been factory installed if you had certain options. Everything except the cruise control and the window lock work.

I believe that's where the factory radio amp goes if equipped

Just to keep you confused .. :D

I heard a rumour that - under the seat,

... was the original spot for the airbag gizmo - until it was relocated to the centre console

Powered seat motors. Up, down, front, back, tilt.

The factory amp if installed goes under the drivers side rear seat, usually up against the front wall of that storage space IIRC...
