HELP! What is this?

So I was putting on a new Expansion valve and broke a vac line connector off the back of the pictured item. Can someone tell me what this is and what small vacuum line is as well and how it will affect my jeep running. Seems to idle fine, but haven't driven it yet.

I think it's for the cruise control.

That vacuum line is for the valve on your heater hose line to the heater core. When you put your selector on Max AC, it puts vacuum to the valve and shuts off the hot coolant going to the core so after a few minutes it will cool down and your AC cold air will not have to cool any components. Just makes the AC air colder
